The reality of the COVID-19 outbreak and its impact upon our daily lives is a difficult and stark reality that has or will affect us all to varying degrees. For those fortunate enough to be able to do so it requires an adjustment to the way we carry on our business, certainly in the short term and perhaps for some time to come.

Red Penguin Marine implemented its business continuity plan early last week and since then we have all been working from home. I am pleased to say this occurred without interrupting our operations or our services.

Our priority is the health and well being of our staff, with due regard for their responsibility to their families. We continue to closely monitor the situation and to comply with UK Government guidelines and in Boston, with US Federal and state guidelines. This includes close attention to the latest guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO) as well as government agencies in countries where we are operating and supporting our clients.

As a risk management focused organisation, we already have detailed risk control and continuity plans in place, supported by robust processes to ensure operational resilience. These procedures enable us to do our utmost to maintain core services by supporting our staff, our global network of associates and our suppliers and partners.

As the spread of Coronavirus escalates, we would like to reassure you that we are taking the necessary steps to ensure we minimise any impact to our business and continue to adjust to the changing circumstances, to enable continuity of our service in support of your business.

We are reviewing the developing situation daily to assess operational status, risks and associated mitigation for our remote team and global projects and will work with our international partners where national controls demand alternative solutions be adopted.

Please be assured we will communicate any important updates to you, as they arise. If you have any questions or concerns, or would like our support with your continuity and operational arrangements and for critical infrastructure maintenance please contact us at info@redpenguinmarine.com or directly at +44 (0) 1239 227429.
